EDITORIAL

Hi there! And yes, I know - it's been quite a while since anything has happened on this site. Including new editorials. I have thereby violated a golden rule in web design stating that you need to regularly update the content of your site. Which is true enough. However, I have an excuse, which of course has something to do with video.

And the answer is naturally that I have been occupied making all together 3 films this fall. This has consumed most of my spare time, leaving little time to update this site and find new links. But now I'm back in the game and hopefully you'll find something useful.

The films have turned out OK I think. Learning new skills as I go along and trying different techniques - which of course prolong the projects. I have also learned to pay more attention to where and how I use my camera, which leads to better raw footage and ultimately better films. For example, just instead of filming one point of view from my motorcycle, I now get of and shoot some different angels as well, add some interviews into the mix, and the result is better in an instant.

I have found much useful information from books I have picked up, "The DV Rebel's Guide" by Stu Maschwitz and "Digital Video Hacks" by Joshua Paul. Both purchased from Amazon at a fair price. Lots to learn and try. And like VE always have preached - having a real project to work on makes it far more interesting and fun to learn and try new stuff.

But now I have soon finalized my last film, and the task ahead will be to produce more tutorials for you who are using this site. Any request will be met in this respect - if I can......
